This year I have been learning how to do things completely differently since Logan was born. It’s amazing how much adding another little person into the mix changes the schedule and routines of everyone in the house.

One of the things that I have kept as a part of my regular routine is making things in bulk for the freezer, along with the grilled chicken I do one or two times a month and my shopping routine that saves us a ton on our groceries.

I have made several batches this month of baked goods, which are amazing for breakfasts. I just get them out of the freezer the night before and pair them with a protein that I can make fresh that morning. It has been a life saver and I love having breakfast mostly made when I get up.

The other amazing thing that’s great is I can use amazing recipes like this one from Pinterest of just a basic muffin mix like the ones I get from Thrive Market with my usual order.  It doesn’t have to be anything fancy, just make up a batch or two and throw them in the oven. I put them in a sandwich bag the night before or breakfast or put some in a quart or gallon size bag the night before a big trip.

It’s been a long process, learning how to really restructure things so we are all comfortable with the new routine, but the freezer coking has made a world of difference.
